* Fair warning: the video contains some images that some people might find distressing. We are particularly keen
that survivors be aware that scenes of the crowds in the pens might trigger flashbacks. Personal discretion is advised.
The author wishes to make it clear that these documents are not meant to replace any of the excellent work already in existence, rather HFD is intended to be complementary. The format is deliberately simple and as objective as could be made, steering clear of emotive language and keeping only to sourced facts and information.
Although none of this information is new per se, HFD is intended to be a one-stop reference guide to anyone researching the topic. It should serve perfectly the interests of any media researcher or academic student, from primary school to under-graduate.
The content itself is not intended to be a definitive account; there are plenty of references in the "Further information" section, where the more serious researcher can find out which publications or sources will serve their needs more fully.
If you wish to host these documents on your own site, please contact us first. Although HFD is not being published as a book, intellectual property rights still apply, so please respect that. We will of course grant permission but would simply like to retain control over to whom permission is granted.
If you have any questions, comments or feedback please do not hesitate to contact us. All enquiries, whether from general readers or specific media sources, will be responded to as quickly as possible.
Thanks for reading.
